Towny – Land claiming

We are not really a Towny server but rather picked Towny for its level of claim customization for our players. With Towny you are able to toggle mobs, tnt and fire within your own claim. Likewise for strangers visiting your builds, you can choose if they can interact with your creations, even build, or block completely.

Starting a Town

Before you can stake your claim, you’ll need the coin to back it up. Head into the wilderness and clear out the monsters with MobHunting; their bounties will increase your account. Or mine raw material and sell them to any of the server operated shops.

Once you’ve gathered $250, scout out your ideal territory and use /town create name. Upon confirmation, you will be the master of a 16×16 plot from the depths of the bedrock to the clouds above.

Remember: Keep your town bank funded with /town deposit amount to cover the $10 24h upkeep. When you are ready to expand your borders, simply step into the wilderness and use /town claim to bring more land for your town. Likewise you can use /town unclaim to unclaim land.

Using Commands

The easiest way to learn the system is by exploring the primary help menus. Use these four core commands to manage your experience:

  • /town – View all commands related to town management, laws, and settings that affect your entire community.
  • /plot – Manage individual $16 \times 16$ chunks. Use this to toggle specific features (like PvP or fire spread) on or off for certain plots.
  • /nation – Explore commands for Nations. This feature allows multiple towns to join forces under one banner for greater protection and influence.
  • /resident – View detailed information about the players living in your town, including their rank and join date.

There are several places to learn more on what Towny offers, there simply is too much to cover here.
